MCCC NARROWS PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH TO FOUR FINALISTS: The Monroe County Community College Presidential Search Committee has narrowed the search for a successor to Audrey Warrick to four candidates following interviews last week. The committee has decided to recommend the following candidates to the board of trustees:The trustees will now review the candidate files and schedule interviews in mid-June.

GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR BEDFORD LIBRARY: The groundbreaking ceremonies for the expansion of the Bedford Branch Library are set for 11 a.m. tomorrow at the library, 8575 Jackman Road, Temperance. The public is invited to join Bedford Township officials, library officials and visiting dignitaries for the ceremony.Library service from the Jackman Road location has been discontinued until construction is complete. A temporary library is being established at 6642 Lewis Avenue and is expected to open for service on June 16. The staff is in the process of moving books and materials to the temporary location.
Bedford Township voters approved funds for the 4.2 million dollar expansion in August of 2002. The addition will double the size of the current building and is expected to take approximately ten months to complete. Direct Building Development has been selected by Bedford Township as the contractor. The contractor will be working with the architectural firm of Collaborative, Inc. and Riemenschneider Design Associates, Inc.
Hours for the temporary location will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
