On May 20, at the theater in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, the stars will be shining.

The Press & Guide Newspapers, along with the Dearborn-Area Theater Association, will be handing out PAGE (Press & Guide Entertainment) Awards to the best local thespians, directors and theater technicians for the 2002-03 theatrical season.

Eligible for awards are those actors who performed with the Players Guild of Dearborn, the West Side Theater Project, Dearborn Heights Civic Theatre and the Dearborn Family Theatre.

There were 11 productions put on by these four theater groups — seven plays and four musicals.

The PAGE Awards — which were started by late Press & Guide Associate Editor Richard Marsh to honor the best in local theater — will be presented next Tuesday at The Center. The event starts at 7:30 p.m., and is free to the public.
